Alexandra-Maria-Lara

Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is a Romanian actress as well as a television host. Her most well-known work is the lead in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control, and Rush. Alexandra was the only daughter of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. at the age of 16, she had already been offered a variety of television roles which included the leading role in the Downfall film Youth Without Youth Control. Her acclaimed and critically acclaimed performance in the TV film that was made to air Der Tunnel paved way for other notable roles including that in the role of Hitler's Secretary Traudl Junge from the commercially and critically profitable Oscar nominated historical war film Downfall. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are other Oscar nominated movies featuring female stars. Alexandra participated in several well-known worldwide and national productions over the past few years. This includes the British biographical Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and French historic mini-series Napoleon as well as other miniseries. She was also on the jury at the Transylvania International Film Festival, as well as at the Cannes Film Festival.
